My name is Kevin Kupihea Wilson. I am seeking the opportunity to serve our community as a State Representative for Hawaii House District 39 (Waipahu, Village Park, Royal Kunia, Waikele , Ewa, West Loch, and Honouliuli) because you deserve a representative who will nurture, heal, and be a mediator for our community. The path to change begins by caring about our neighbors, treating each other with respect and integrity, and listening to their challenges and concerns. Together we can focus on working people and families and hold our state government more accountable. I believe government should work for you.
I have lived in Royal Kunia since 1999 and I graduated from Waipahu High School in 2008. To pay for my college tuition, beginning in 2012, I worked at the Hawaii State Legislature as an office clerk, researcher, and committee clerk. In the legislature, I found my passion for helping my community make a difference. I have worked nine legislative sessions at the Capitol, exposing me to various issues relating to labor, health, human services, housing, Hawaiian affairs, and finance, to name a few. Each session allowed me to listen, learn, and understand the challenges and issues from a neutral staff point of view. I am not indebted to any interest groups
My campaign for the primary election is a grassroots organization and funded by my own money and small donations.
I believe our community comes before politics and I am committed to being available and accessible to you every day. If elected I promise to listen, learn, and represent the voice of our community because together we can make a difference. Let's get to work and make our community better together.
E Malama Pono,
Kevin Kupihea Wilson
